Cancer Insurance

At AutoNation, it’s about more than selling and servicing cars and trucks. It’s about taking care of people. AutoNation provides all Associates, your spouse/domestic partner, and your children (up to age 26) with Cancer Insurance. Under the Cancer Insurance plan, Associates and their eligible dependents receive a cash benefit if diagnosed with cancer. For your eligible dependents to be covered under the Cancer Insurance plan, you must add them as dependents on the online enrollment site. See below for details.

This plan is administered by Cigna.

You, as an AutoNation Associate, will be automatically enrolled in the Cancer Insurance Plan at no cost to you. To extend coverage under the Cancer Insurance plan to your spouse/domestic partner and/or your dependent children (up to age 26), they must be enrolled in the Cancer Insurance plan. To enroll your spouse/domestic partner and/or your dependent children (up to age 26) in the Cancer Insurance plan, please follow the steps below:

Online:

  • Visit the Benefit Connection website by clicking the button below.
  • Go to the “My Profile” icon at the top right of the homepage.
  • Select “Dependent Summary” from the “My Profile” menu.
  • Click the “Add” button to enter your dependent information.

Phone:

  • Contact The Benefit Connection at 1-877-550-2363 and request to add a dependent to your account.

Unlike your medical plan, which pays benefits directly to a hospital or other provider, your cancer insurance pays a benefit directly to you. If you, your spouse/domestic partner, or your dependent children (up to age 26) receive a cancer diagnosis, this plan pays a lump-sum benefit to spend any way you choose.

This plan also pays a recurrence benefit, for a covered cancer, that occurs at least 180 treatment-free days after your initial diagnosis.

Cash paid directly to you, to use any way you want.

The plan, administered by Cigna, will pay you up to $5,000 if you are diagnosed with cancer and up to $2,500 if your spouse/domestic partner or children (up to age 26) are diagnosed with cancer. The plan pays $1,000 per lifetime for a skin cancer diagnosis.

The cash is yours to use any way you want. Use it to cover your copays, deductibles, or coinsurance; pay your rent, utility bills, or groceries; or, or even finance a vacation. The choice is yours.
